My Thoughts:

I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy of this book from lovereading, I want to say thank you as I really enjoyed this book. I was hooked from the first chapter, it is a bit gruesome but the detail in the story is so brilliant, I couldn’t stop reading. Reading about all the characters gives you a much better insight into their lives and there is so much description, the author must of done lots of research. I am going to read another of Alex Barclay’s books as I really did enjoy this one.

My Thoughts:

I have not read the two previous books in this series so I went into the story not knowing much. I love the era it is set in all the mini skirts and vespas, it is written with lots of lovely descriptions, I couldn’t put the book down. The story follows a large family who see tragedy, trials and tribulations. I definitely want to read the previous two books now.

My Thoughts:

All of Carole Matthews books are brilliant, this one was brilliant too. It follows on from Carole’s previous books called ‘The Chocolate Lover’s Club’ and then the second book is called ‘The Chocolate Lover’s diet. I loved catching up with the women from the other two books I feel like I am part of the gang and I wish I was as I could more than happily eat chocolate every day especially in a crisis. I would love to have Lucy’s job but I don’t think much chocolate or cake would be left for the customers as I would probably have eaten it all. A fabulous read that will leave you wanting more. I look forward to the next book.

My Thoughts:

I loved catching up with the Benson family again, there are lots of laughs in this book but also some sad times. I felt rather Christmassy reading this book as it is now not too long till Christmas, I loved the fact the story centred around Chelsea and how she has to cope with his family and his late wife’s family, I did really feel for her at some points. I love Jack and Lily’s relationship and how much mischief they can get in to when they are together. All in all a brilliant Christmas read.

My Thoughts:

I was lucky enough to get a signed copy of this book by Anouska Knight. I will certainly be keeping my eye out in the future for books by her as this one was so powerful, I was hooked. This is a story about a family, an unfortunate accident which has devastating consequences happen and you see how all the family learn to cope and live with it and themselves. The characters were very well drawn and believable, I just got so sucked into their world that I did not want to stop reading. Superbly written by a very lovely author.

My Thoughts:

This was a nice, quick, easy read. I loved Emily the main character in this story and how her story was told. I am a keen photographer so felt myself warming to her. I loved reading about the blossoming romance between her and Seb, he seemed a really sweet guy and it reminded me of my youth. Young love hey!! Such a beautiful read that I would recommend it to anyone who has not read any of Julia Green’s books.

My Thoughts:

I have now read quite a few of Veronica Henry’s books and loved them, this one was just as good. There are lots of interesting main characters and when I first started the book and read about Kate and Vanessa I felt drawn to them and cared for them. Veronica brings the small Cornish town to life with her beautiful descriptions you can almost imagine you are there. There are four main characters really including Vanessa, Kate, Sam and Nathan and I loved going on each and every one of their journey and finding out more about them, I really recommend reading this book and I love the way Veronica Henry’s books make you feel. Such a good read.

I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy of this book for an honest review. I have not read any of Ella Harper’s books before but I really enjoyed this one. I knew from reading the back it would be a weepy kind of read and it was but it also had a love story to go with it. I found I warmed alot to Molly the main character and I did feel sorry for what she had to go through with her life changing illness. I really didn’t like her husband Sam what a coward, I couldn’t believe some of the stuff he said to Molly. Even though it kept on flitting between the different characters and the past and present it was easy to work out what was going on. Apart from Sam I liked all the characters, this is a emotional story but also one to make you stop and think. Lots of twists and turns made for a perfect read.

My Thoughts:

I received this book in exchange of an honest review. This is my first Christmas book of the year which I don’t mind as I can read Christmas books even in the Summer. The cover looks amazing especially with all the glitter, it makes you just want to snuggle up and forget about the world.

I would love to go and visit puffin Island and meet up with all the characters it sounds so much fun. I really enjoyed the storyline and I loved the sound of Alec he sounds like a very nice man indeed. Ahem! I loved the way he helped Sky and the way he was so caring towards her. This is a story full of love, friendship and chemistry that also has some humour thrown in to. I couldn’t put this book down, and I really wanted it to continue. It is well worth a read.

My Thoughts:

I loved this book, it is such a compelling story that you just get swept away with the romance and the fact it is set in 1917. I loved the characters in this book, the way the book is written is just brilliant I love reading books that are set in the past. So much description that I was sad when I finished it. Will definitely look out for more of this author’s books.
