As Detective Inspector Helen Grace’s best friend fights for her life, the man responsible flees the country.
An international manhunt leads to the Dutch port city of Rotterdam, where crime is big business.
With the underworld harbouring one of its own, the local police closing ranks against an outsider, and a pair of trained assassins shadowing her every move – Helen is all alone.
Far from home – and closing in on a killer – she must rely on her instincts, her drive for justice, and her thirst for revenge.
Can she track down her target before he escapes forever? Or will she see her life and everything she loves left in ashes…?
My Thoughts:
I feel as though I have missed a couple of these books in the series. They can be read as a standalone but I think if you really want to get to know Detective Inspector Helen Grace you really need to read them in order. It is a great series. We follow D. I Helen Grace on her next investigation and after the last book she obviously had some bad things happen to her but will it interfere with this investigation. Great pace and I love it when a book makes you want to keep on reading and you don’t care about anything else. Full of turns and twists, unexpectedness and a great Detective. I loved it.
I received an ARC copy of this book for an honest review.
