My Thoughts:

I couldn’t wait to start reading this book, I am a big fan of Hannah’s writing, and this one was really good. At school I was always interested in Medusa and Classical Greek Myths. This is the story of Medusa but Hannah has put a slightly different twist on the story which I found fascinating. If you think you know the truth about things wait till you read this one. Hannah’s written is descriptive but engaging and I look forward to her next book. As brilliant as ever.

Jess isn’t have a great time lately. She has the most boring job in her company, her boss tries to place blame on her every chance he gets, and she’s just had to sack one of her best friends. As for the men in her life, they all seem to be morons, cavemen or serial womanisers. Then she meets Steven. Mature, handsome and ever so enticing, Jess starts to think he might be the solution to a lot of her problems. The only issue is he’s younger. MUCH younger.

My Thoughts:

If you want a really funny book then I would suggest this one, you will laugh out loud and the story line is just brilliant, all the characters are ones that you feel as though you know. I couldn’t believe this was a debut novel as it is really good. I will looking out for more of this author’s books in the future.

My Thoughts:

Camille is home from Iraq, even though she tries to forget that place it is always in her mind, she tries to get back to a normal routine and time in her life but will that ever happen? on her job at an isolated ranch she finds a shocking discovery, she has flashbacks to the past and everything comes back to haunt her, can she work out what happened or will her past catch up with er? I liked this story it was gripping and I wanted to race through it to find out what happened. I liked Camille and found that lots of research had gone into this book which made it a really good read.

My Thoughts:

I really enjoyed this book, I haven’t read anything like this before and I probably never will. I could rave about it all day, I liked the fact it was a little different, the Council side really interested me because it is not something that is talked about and I didn’t really know any information about what happens when someone dies and doesn’t have a next of kin, it is a fascinating inside in the world of the Council and the people that work there. Andrew works at the Council and my heart went out to him, he is a nice guy and people like him but they don’t know the true Andrew, it really upset me how he was in himself. Peggy comes along and turns his world upside and he falls big time for her. When she finds out his secret will she forgive him? The story deals with all kinds of issues but Richard has written it sensitively and has obviously done his homework, I would give this book a 10/10 stars if I could. One I would definitely recommend and one that captured my heart.

My Thoughts:

Engaging and gripping read, a perfect escapism read. I liked the sound of the plot as it seemed believable, the characters came to life with Deborah’s writing, you felt as though you didn’t know who to trust and who was telling the truth. I found the subject matter being depression and domestic violence hard to read about but Deborah has done really well with capturing that side of things. It will make you want to forget about your housework and keep reading on.

My Thoughts:

This is a lovely story about a wonderful character called Emmie Blue. This is a story about Emmie Blue who releases a red balloon with a message in it and finds out that it has gone across to France and a boy called Lucas has found it. The story goes from the past to the present and we find out more about this unique Emmie Blue, though the story may be a little predictable it will still make your heart grow fond of her and her relationship with Lucas is genuinely sweet. I really enjoyed this story and I may have shed a few tears at the ending.

My Thoughts:

A psychological thriller at it’s best. The story is about Elspeth McKenzie who is an elderly lady who would like a carer. Elspeth has a daughter called Kathryn who doesn’t like the fact that her mother keeps bringing in all these carers and tries to bring them down a notch but why? and what secrets is she hiding. When Una finds something of the previous carer she decides to do some digging and then lies, twists and secrets surface. Is Elspeth all she is cracked up to be or is there more going on behind closed doors. I liked how the lies and secrets unravel to make for a book that you just wont want to put down.

My Thoughts:

When I read a psychological thriller I want twists, turns, not knowing what is going to happen and a spectacular ending and this had everything. I found the characters were all suspicious, and I really did’t like Kyle at all. The story is about Kyle and his wife Hannah who goes missing. Julia wants to help Kyle find Hannah but gets too wrapped up and involved. Will she uncover something sinister. Lots of secrets and lies are heavily involved. A real page turner at its best.

My Thoughts:

This is the story of Emma and her family, with her son has been recently diagnosed with Asperger’s, Emma sets out on a journey to take a long hard look at herself as mother, wife, daughter and friend. We see Emma at her best and at her worse, even though there is a serious side to this story there are also lots of funny moments and also some of what her son says is pretty funny. We learn about Asperger’s which I knew nothing about but now have respect and a little understanding for it. Family life under pressure and all the emotions are set in this wonderful read that I think everyone should read.

My Thoughts:

I was so happy to be asked to read and review the second book in the mountain ranch series, I loved the first book which is called Refuge and this one was just as brilliant. I looked forward to the next instalment. I liked Laney and felt as though she was a strong and confident woman, she has not had the best relationships or guys in the past so when a new hunky guy turns up in her town she can’t wait to introduce herself. I did worry what would become of their relationship as Laney is so confident and forward. But then things start to happen and I was worried for Laney, the ending was dramatic and I really want to read the next book as I just love all these characters.
