The Baby Group By Caroline Corcoran

The Baby Group By Caroline Corcoran

Her life was perfect. Until the video.

Scarlett’s golden life suddenly unravels when someone sends a shocking video of her to everyone she knows. The only people who claim they haven’t seen it are the friends in her new mothers’ group: Cora, Emma and Asha.

Scarlett is forced to delve into her past to discover who is out to get her. But as her circle of trust gathers around her, she has to ask – are her friends as innocent as they seem?

My Thoughts:

This is a story about motherhood, lies and betrayal. You never really know who you can trust is my feelings when reading this book. The main character is Scarlett after having a baby, she like many mums meets up with the other mums from the baby group. Scarlett has a past and unfortunately it decides to rear its ugly head in a very dramatic and life changing way for her, but who is behind it?and will Scarlett’s life every be the same again? There are twists and turns, and it had me gripped, I had my suspicions, but I was wrong. Another good read from Caroline and I look forward to the next book.

Under Your Skin By Rose McClelland

Where is Hannah?

When Kyle’s wife Hannah goes missing, the whole town is out in force to try to find her. One person knows where she is. One person is keeping a secret.

Detective Inspector Simon Peters and Detective Kerry Lawlor have been brought in to investigate the case, but Hannah has left no traces and Kyle has no clues.

Local Belfast resident Julia Matthews joins the #FindHannah campaign and becomes friendly with Kyle, sympathising with his tragedy. As Julia becomes more involved in the case than she bargained for, she begins to uncover more secrets than the Police ever could.

Julia was only trying to help, but has she become drawn into a web of mystery that she can’t escape?

My Thoughts:

When I read a psychological thriller I want twists, turns, not knowing what is going to happen and a spectacular ending and this had everything. I found the characters were all suspicious, and I really did’t like Kyle at all. The story is about Kyle and his wife Hannah who goes missing. Julia wants to help Kyle find Hannah but gets too wrapped up and involved. Will she uncover something sinister. Lots of secrets and lies are heavily involved. A real page turner at its best.

One day in Summer By Shari Low

One day in Summer By Shari Low

One day in summer, three lives are about to change forever.

Ten years ago, Mitchell McMaster divorced Agnetha and married her best friend, Celeste. Now he suspects his second wife is having an affair. This is the day he’ll discover if karma has come back to bite him.

Thanks to a DNA test, this is the day that Hope McTeer will finally meet her biological father. But will the reunion bring Hope the answers that she’s looking for?

My Thoughts:

This is another brilliant read from Shari Low. This story is about three different people and how in one Summer their lives have changed. The chapters flit back to the past with some very surprising twists in the story. I liked the characters apart from Celeste, she was not a nice person at all. Even at the end of the story I was shocked for her and all concerned. There is lots going on in the story but it’s jam packed full of lies, betrayals, romance and family, you are in for a real treat.

Daisy and Simon’s marriage is great, isn’t it?

After years together, the arrival of longed-for daughter Millie sealed everything in place. A happy little family of three.

And so what if Simon drinks a bit too much sometimes – Daisy’s used to it, she knows he’s letting off steam. Until one night at a party things spiral horribly out of control. And that happy little family of three will never be the same again.

My Thoughts:

Twisty and gripping read that almost becomes magnetic to the reader, who is telling lies or is it everyone? There is a mixture of suspense, relatable issues, alcoholism and lots of lies. The last chapter left me speechless.

My Thoughts:

After reading Watching Edie which is another of Camilla’s books I was really looking forward to this one. It does not disappoint, it is a psychological thriller that will keep you hooked straight away. There are two storylines that run along each other and are expertly woven together. It is dark and the plot takes twists and turns like you wouldn’t believe but I absolutely loved it.
