This title will be released on January 12, 2017.

Kate O’Brien has always been known as the scholarship kid, running away from a terrible past and overcoming obstacles, some more sinister than others. She’s determined to make a better life for herself. She deserves it. And at the elite Waverly school, Kate is willing to do whatever it takes to climb the social ladder and land her spot at Yale.

There’s one girl in particular who catches Kate’s eye. Olivia Michelle Sumner, all born blonde and rich and just messed up enough for Kate to latch on to. As for Olivia, she’s a damaged girl, looking to be mended. She finds something promising in Kate. A study buddy. A best friend. A sister she never had. But even a vulnerable girl like Olivia has her own dark past to contend with.

When the handsome and whip-smart Mark Redkin joins the Waverly administration, he manages to woo the whole student body, paying particular attention to Olivia – an affair she very much wants to keep to herself, especially from Kate. And as a man who knows just how to get what he wants, Kate realises that Mark poses a huge threat, in more ways than she is willing to admit.

My Thoughts:

I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy of this book. This is a very dark twisted physiological thriller that had me guessing till the very end. There is alot of messed up stuff that happens in this book which I didn’t believe could happen but it does. It is crazy yes but you will want to keep reading on.

Just Two Weeks By Amanda Sington-Williams

After being made redundant from a seemingly secure job Jolene Carr takes a two week break in the sun. On the first day she meets Raquel, another hotel guest. Little does she realise how this apparently innocent acquaintance will lead to terrible and lasting consequences.

After a frightening incident she hits a conspiracy of silence from the locals and over the rest of the holiday she feels herself slipping into a vortex of fear. Back home, the nightmare continues and she realises that Raquel is stalking her. Her hippie mother and her partner Mark tell her she is imagining it all.

All certainties, even about relationships, become fluid and treacherous as her past begins to unravel. If it wasn’t for Rob, her ex-lover who Jolene thinks has his own agenda, she would be left to cope on her own.
How much fear and betrayal can one person take?

My Thoughts:

This is a book for people that like a fast paced and gripping suspense. It seems to give the reader a whole new sense of trust and betrayal, reality and perception. The characters in this story are brilliant, Jo seems to be able to make it so that you actually feel as a reader that you are the main character which feels exceptional.  This book is such a thrilling read you just won’t want it to end.

Before we met By Lucie Whitehouse

Before we met By Lucie Whitehouse

A whirlwind romance. A perfect marriage.Hannah Reilly has seized her chance at happiness. Until the day her husband fails to come home . . .

And can you ever really know what happened before you met?

My Thoughts:
After hearing about Lucie Whitehouse books from a friend I decided to take the chance and give one of her books a go. I have to say I thought this book was going to be predictable but I kind of knew after reading more that there was more to this story than meets the eye. It is a fast paced book that is not too long, which I found made it a easy read. Will probably read another one by Lucie Whitehouse just to see what she can bring to another story.
EENY MEENY BY M. J . Arlidge

EENY MEENY BY M. J . Arlidge

The girl emerged from the woods, barely alive. Her story was beyond belief. But it was true. Every dreadful word of it.

Days later, another desperate escapee is found – and a pattern is emerging. Pairs of victims are being abducted, imprisoned then faced with a terrible choice: kill or be killed.

Would you rather lose your life or lose your mind?

Detective Inspector Helen Grace has faced down her own demons on her rise to the top. As she leads the investigation to hunt down this unseen monster, she learns that it may be the survivors – living calling cards – who hold the key to the case.

And unless she succeeds, more innocents will die . .

My Thoughts:

Loved this book right from the start. Not a big fan on Thrillers but this is a definite must for people wanting to try a different genre. The characters were brilliantly strong and the M. J. has done well to incorporate all their different stories together without making it confusing. I loved the fact there were so many twists and turns. I didn’t expect what was coming next and was certainly surprised by what did happen. Brilliant ending and look forward to reading the next book as I have heard it is even better.
