Ninety Days to Christmas (Goldebury Bay Book 3) By Emily Harvale

Ninety Days to Christmas (Goldebury Bay Book 3) By Emily Harvale

Poppy knows what she wants for Christmas.

Poppy Taylor is tired of playing gooseberry to her loved-up friends. She wants a man of her own to snuggle up with in time for the holidays – and Christmas Day is only ninety days away.

She’s set her sights firmly on the new man in town: property developer and all-round nice guy, Toby Blackwood. Poppy’s hoping it won’t just be the wood burner in her cottage keeping her warm as the cold, dark nights draw in…

But Toby’s obnoxious, older brother Ryan, a self-made millionaire, makes it abundantly clear that he has other plans for Toby and he’s not going to let Poppy get in his way.

My Thoughts:

I was lucky enough to get a signed copy of this book from Emily herself. I was so excited to start reading this one as I have read Emily’s previous books in this series. This book like all the others can be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading them all as they are all fantastic reads. I loved catching up with all the characters and seeing what happens next for them all. Even though Christmas is in the title of this book it is more of a lead up to Christmas so it is not focusing on Christmas. A lovely romantic book which I really enjoyed reading and I really look forward to reading the next book of Emily’s. You just know it is going to be good.

These are the other books in the Goldebury series:

BOOK ONE – Ninety Days of Summer

BOOK TWO – Ninety Steps to Summerhill

BOOK THREE – Ninety Days to Christmas

After Eden By Helen Douglas

After Eden By Helen Douglas

When mysterious new boy Ryan Westland shows up at her school Eden Anfield is intrigued. On the face of it, he’s a typical American teenager. So how come he doesn’t recognise pizza and hasn’t heard of Hitler? What puzzles Eden most, however, is the interest he’s taking in her.

As Eden falls in love with Ryan, she stumbles across a book in Ryan’s bedroom – a biography of her best friend – written fifty years in the future. Unravelling Ryan’s secret, she discovers he has one unbelievably important purpose … and she might just have destroyed his only chance of success.

My Thoughts:

I managed to read this book within a day. It is a slim book that won’t take you to long to read. I felt that the story moved at a good pace and I was interested to see what would happen next. This was a nice, light read aimed at young adults with some sci fi thrown in. I really enjoyed learning about all the different stars too. Will be interested to read the sequel to this book.
