The Piano Man Project By Kat French

The Piano Man Project By Kat French

A delightfully romantic, heartwarming read for everyone who’s ever looked for The One and found someone better.

You: kind, piano-playing sex god
Me: hopelessly romantic charity shop manager

Honeysuckle Jones has a problem, and her best friends Nell and Tash are on a mission to help her solve it. She needs a man – a caring, intelligent, funny man. But most importantly, a man who’s good with his hands…

Luckily Honey’s new neighbour – moody, antisocial ex-chef Hal – fails on almost every count. Even though the chemistry between them is electric, he’s obviously wrong for her in every way.

But when Honey discovers the devastating reason for his moods she decides to give him another chance. And discovers that the best songs aren’t always in tune…

My Thoughts:

I was given this book for an honest review, and I really liked it, this is a feel – good, hilarious romantic comedy that you just wont want to put down. This is my first and will definitely not be my last read of Kat French’s. I thought all the characters were brilliant. I thought Honey was such a down to earth woman, who would do anything for anyone she reminded me of myself.  There is everything you could possibly want from a book, a great storyline, a lot of laughs, some naughty parts but also some emotion. From reading this book I know what is on the inside that counts not the outside. Superbly written, would recommend for a holiday read.

I just want to say a BIG Thank you to the team at Avon, who to promote this book sent me the letter Hal sent to Honey to make a spaghetti bolognese. They also sent me all the ingredients so I could make it myself. Here are a few of the pictures I took:DSCF3213

I thought this was a brilliant way to promote the book, but also a way that I will always remember. Brilliant stuff. I have yet to make the spaghetti bolognese but when I do I will be posting the pictures up.

The Butterfly Box By Santa Montefiore

The Butterfly Box By Santa Montefiore

Federica Campione adores her father. No matter that Ramon, a distinguished traveller and writer, spends months away from their home on the exotic Chilean coast; as soon as he’s back, his daughter has eyes for no one but him. When he gives her a magical box from Peru she believes he will always be there for her.

As she grows to womanhood, Federica attempts to recapture that long-forgotten sense of security in the arms of the debonair Torquil Jensen. From the sanctuary of a seemingly perfect marriage, she embarks on a painful journey of self-discovery. But can Federica ever truly escape her gilded cage and learn the true lesson of the butterfly box?

My Thoughts:

This book was given to me for Christmas, having never read any of Santa Montefiore’s books before I wasn’t sure what to expect. I have seen some good reviews about this book so thought I would give it a try. I have to say I read it in a few days but I was utterly enthralled by it. Santa has unfolded the story with beautiful settings and the characters were written with so much detail. I have even decided to treat myself to one of Santa’s other books.
