The Perfect Christmas swap?

My Thoughts:

Fiona Harper is such a brilliant author, she writes with such enthusiasm that I can never get enough of her books. This book is about two sisters who decided to swap holidays for Christmas, I know it isn’t Christmas just yet but decided to read it anyway and I am glad I did. The story is an enjoyable one that focuses on families, Fiona has a way of writing where you think about the people who are close to you and what matters the most.The cover of this book drew me towards it as it is really pretty.A heart warming story that you will love even if it isn’t Christmas.

When Alex Munro learns that the love of her life is getting married to another girl, all she wants is to be alone and as far away from Edinburgh as possible. Moving to a Cornish cottage, which comes complete with the world’s scruffiest dog. Alex finds that her new neighbours are determined to involve her in their madcap Christmas festivities. Then she meets her sexy neighbour Ruan and somehow Alex doesn’t want to be alone this Christmas after all. My Thoughts:

Scarlett Bailey is a new author to me. I warmed to Alex straight away and absolutely loved Buoy the dog. There were parts of the plot that moved too fast but i did’t mind that as situations do change overnight. I could imagine myself living there as village life in Cornwall seems beautifully portrayed. This books touches on the importance of family and friendship something everyone needs at Christmas time. I will definitely be reading more of Scarlett Bailey’s books.
