Grace and Serenity By Annalisa Crawford

Grace and Serenity By Annalisa Crawford

Living on the streets is terrifying and exhausting. Grace’s only comforts are a steady stream of vodka, and a strange little boy who’s following her around.

At nineteen, Grace has already had a child and endured an abusive marriage. But she’s also had her baby abducted by her vengeful husband and been framed as a neglectful mother. Even her own parents doubted her version of the story. So she did the only thing that made sense to her—run away.

The streets are unforgiving. Winter is drawing in. And Grace isn’t prepared for the harsh realities of survival. At her very bleakest, a Good Samaritan swoops into her life and rescues her. With a roof over her head and food in her stomach, she longs to see her baby again.

But nothing ever comes for free.

My Thoughts:

I have read some of Annalisa’s books before and always enjoyed them so was delighted to be asked to read her latest story. This is the story of Grace and Serenity. I like how the story is set in Plymouth, Grace has been through a lot probably most then some people could ever imagine, with a baby too. She decides to run away from it all unfortunately for her its the middle of winter, trying to live on the streets is not what she expected it to be but it is alot worse that she can ever imagine, She has to leave her baby behind which broke my heart. Here comes the moment Serenity comes into the picture. Will she ever be able to get her baby back? I love seeing the relationship between her and Serenity, there are some nice people out there. It is a heart warming but sad story, I truly wanted Grace to have a happy ending but will she?

I received an ARC copy of this book for an honest review.

My Thoughts:

I was given a copy of this book for an honest review. After previously reading Annalisa’s books I was happy to be asked to review this one. I liked the style of writing and the fact that the book is made up of short stories. The cover I would have to say is very enchanting and I wasn’t too sure what I was going to get inside but I loved it. With this book I would definitely recommend savouring the words and it really makes you think about life. I don’t normally read short stories but I really enjoyed this one.
