My Thoughts:

Elijah comes across a young girl in the woods, where she has been kidnapped. But Elijah wants a friend and to have this new friend he must keep quiet about her. But this is not his first time in this woods, what happened to the girl before this girl? Sam is a new author to me, this was a creepy, tense story. There are plenty of twists and turns throughout, some of them made me jump. It was a very icy and chilling story but a few things did not make sense to me.

My Thoughts:

This is my first book by Fiona and I liked the sound of the plot, so was looking forward to reading it. It is about Cass who finds herself in the middle of nowhere and does not remember anything. But she does recognise a place called The Haven. Cass realises that something bad happened before she could not remember anything, and it is to do with her family. This story did not make sense to me, it was all over the place and there was too much going from past to present which confused me as it was so erratic. Not a book for me unfortunately.

My Thoughts:

After reading In the Blink of an Eye by Jo, I knew I couldn’t wait to jump into this read which is Book two. This story is about AI Detectives working together to solve a case. It is a game of cat and mouse to find out who the killer is before there are other victims. I found the AI part of the story very engaging and interesting to read about. These Detectives are only doing their jobs but there is a lot of backlash on how the case is going. Can they prevent more people from dying? A really great police drama and well thought out characters. The ending was fantastic as always. This would be a great hit for a TV drama. It feels an important book that everyone should read. I cannot wait to read book three now.

My Thoughts:

I genuinely squealed with excitement when I saw Milly Johnson had a new book out, I am a big fan of her books and they have always been such a comfort to me. Milly writes with passion and just gets people’s attention with her relatable stories. This one is about five all very different women who have different things going on in their lives, and they all seem to be struggling. When they all start meeting at the local Diner they all don’t realise how much these group of woman can help one another even just over cake and coffee. It was a truly wonderful read with added depth, real life situations that readers may be able to relate with and I felt I wanted to give each woman a hug. I felt a part of the group and loved where the story went. Such a heartfelt read.

My Thoughts:

Sophie is a new author to me, and I liked the intrigue into this story. There are six couples at a luxury resort and everything is going swimmingly until a note is passed to you and you have no idea what is about to happen. Can you trust any of the other couples and who will make it out alive. I found it more of a whodunit rather than a thriller, an easy read to follow along with. I guessed quite early who the murderer was which disappointed me as I like to be kept on my toes otherwise I get bored. Once I guessed the story for me did not flow how I would of liked it too. There is quite a lot of dialogue to this story too.

As the two form an unlikely alliance, Alex also begins to suspect the small town where his sister lived and died is harbouring secrets. It’s not long before he learns that three other women have gone missing from the area in the past and that his sister may have left him a message.

On the surface, Koppe, Lapland is a winter wonderland. But in this remote, frozen place, death seems only ever a heartbeat away.

My Thoughts:

Jo is a new author to me, I thought this read sounded good and my kind of thriller. It is about Alex who gets a phone call to say his sisters body has been found in Northern Lapland, and he assumes it is her fault. Alex sets out on the long journey to Lapland to speak with the detective in charge because it is not at all what it seems. His sister’s case is not as simple as it first seemed. What was she involved in, Alex has to find out. It was tense, gripping and pulled me in quite literally from the get go. It made me feel cold reading this but not so much to do with the freezing temperatures in Lapland, it was more to do with how the story was panning out. Full of creepiness and not knowing what is around the corner. I really liked it and am excited to read more by Jo.

My Thoughts:

This is the fourth book in the Stephanie King Series and I have not read the previous books in this series. This one is about a wealthy philanthropist who has wronged a few women in his time now they are out for revenge but then he is found dead but was it one of these women? this story is packed with lies, deceit, betrayals and revenge. It was an ok read, easy to follow along with, a bit slow in places and I did not really gel with any of the characters but wanted to know the outcome. I found all of the women suspicious and any of them could of done it but was shocked with the outcome. I feel as though I would not go back in the series to read the previous books though.

My Thoughts:

I feel as though I read this book at the wrong time, I read it after watching a Series that is very similar on Netflix, and they are similar to what they are about. A plane has taken off and has disappeared in the sky, but where is it? DCI Kate’s partner was on the plane and she needs to find out exactly what happened, as it is her partner too on that plane she wants it back sooner rather than later. Kate will find out where that plane is even if she is in danger. It was a slow build up, full of tension and suspense. I did find it slow and was not really for me.

My Thoughts:

Laura is a new author to me, but because I enjoy Elsie Silver books I thought I would give this book a go. I liked how the book is easy to follow along with and I liked Laura’s writing style. This is the final book in The Magnolia Falls Series which I did not realise at the time but it is a perfect excuse to pick up the previous books in the series. This is about Hayes and Savannah and it is a good and heart warming read about friendship, enemies, lovers. I loved all the letters it just added something else to the story, with such a good ending. I do wish I had read the previous ones first as I would of got more of a back story but I really enjoyed it.

My Thoughts:

I cannot seem to get enough of Elsie’s books at the moment and I am excited to try some different series of her when I have finished this series. This story is about Cade and Willa, When Willa becomes the nanny for Cade’s son, neither of them realise what could be between them. It is hot and spicy and such a easy story to follow along to. They both have their own separate issues but will that stand between them if they like each other that much. I liked how each chapter is a different person so you get each side of the story. I enjoyed reading about all the characters and some have cropped up from previous books. Such a good read, and I look forward to reading the next one.
