Stay Another Christmas By Phillipa Ashley

Stay Another Christmas By Phillipa Ashley

After a life-changing accident, Katie’s plan for Christmas is simple: rent a spectacular island house in the Lake District, gather the people she loves, and enjoy snowy walks, crackling fires and the promise of a fresh start.

What she doesn’t plan on?

Her ex-boyfriend turning up.

Still reeling from their break-up, Katie isn’t sure whether seeing him again will bring closure or reopen old wounds. Especially when she finds herself drawn to Arlo, the handsome owner of the island house, who is keeping his heart carefully guarded.

As Christmas approaches, old feelings resurface and new sparks begin to fly. Katie must decide whether to give the past one more chance, or open her heart to a love she never expected.

THIS CHRISTMAS, WILL KATIE RETURN TO THE LOVE SHE LEFT BEHIND . . . OR FIND THE COURAGE TO BEGIN AGAIN?

My Thoughts:

Wow what read that I instantly fell in love with. There is just something so cosy about reading one of Phillipa’s books especially when they are set in the Lake District which is my favourite place on earth. I loved how all the places Phillipa mentions that I have been too, it makes the books more enticing. I loved the story about Katie who after a traumatic event happens to her she knows she needs to get away and rest and recuperate, so she knows she is going to the Lake District at Christmas time and inviting the most important people in her life to say thank you for being there with her through thick and thin, but whilst she is trying to get some rest, her ex turns up and Katie does not know what to do because she has set her sights on Arlo the owner of the house they are staying in. It is all a bit of a crazy time for Katie and she really does not know what to do but she will figure it out she always does. It was a relaxing and powerful read about friendship, coming together and building bridges. I loved it.

I received an ARC copy of this book for an honest review.
