Frank owns a service station on a little-used highway. His granddaughter, Allie, is sent to stay with him for the summer, but they don’t talk a lot.

Simon is a dreamer and an idealist, in thrall to the romance of the open road and desperately in search of something.

Maggie is the woman who will bring them together, someone whose own personal journey will visit unimaginable terror on them all.

My Thoughts:

I am not sure where to begin with this book, I loved the sound of the story, it was terrifying and creepy but for me I just didn’t enjoy it as much as I hoped I would. Probably for me it was a bit too grim. I am not a fan of lots of blood. Lots of different characters with their own stories to tell, What I have learnt from reading this book is if you go looking for trouble, it is going to find you and it might not be the best idea you have ever had.
