They say the first year of marriage can be the hardest, which Emily is soon to discover.
Though blissfully happy with her new husband, William Chester, she begins to struggle with life as a twenty-first century woman in a nineteenth century world.
Insecurities, inequality and old and new enemies threaten her new found happiness and future. Will she rise to the challenges of her ever changing world? Or perhaps the nineteenth century isn’t her true home after all?
My Thoughts:
This is is the second book in the series. The history in this book is amazing, like Michelle has done her research really well. There is a lot of drama and humour in the book and Emily kept me entertained with her trials and tribulations. I am not really sure how this trilogy is going to end, I will be sad as I have grown to love the characters, but I really look forward to reading the last book and Michelle’s other books in the future. The cover is stunning once again.
