My Thoughts:

As soon as I saw this book I knew I had to read it. I have been in and out of hospitals for a long time now, having multiple conditions I am always sat in a hospital or doctors waiting room. So I get where Tilly is coming from. Also I like the fact that this a personal account of Tilly’s so I thank Tilly for sharing her story. Even though Tilly and I do not share the same conditions I could totally see where Tilly was coming from and I agreed with her on so many things. I really felt for her multiple times throughout the story and felt frustrated and angry alongside her. The story is about how Tilly copes with being a medical mystery, being passed from pillar to post with the majority of doctors not wanting to get involved in her case. There are funny parts to this story too but it is a honest and raw account of a woman who was let down by the NHS many times and I am so sorry for that Tilly. The survival tips at the end of each chapter were informative too. I think if you have a loved one that is unwell than reading this might make you see it through their eyes what they have to go through. I have been through so many things Tilly went through so I totally get it. It was a read that I will remember and I really hope it brings to light that just because you look fine on the outside it does not mean you are ok on the inside, you should never imagine someone is just fine. Also if you are not happy with something in the medical world as for a second opinion, you really have to fight for what you need but never give up.

My Thoughts:

Reading this when it was still cold outside was perfect as it really did make me feel warmer inside. The cover is vibrant and looks like the perfect beach read. Daisy is returning to her old home as things were not going right in her old life. But things at home as she soon realises are not all what they seem and Daisy feels she needs a place in her new life but does not know how to take that step just yet maybe she needs some guidance from someone. It was a easy and enjoyable read. I liked Daisy from the start, I felt as though there were a lot of secrets being hidden but was hoping they would eventually come out. I liked reading about the garden side of things as I am a keen gardener, it was such a feel good read and I was sad when I had read the last page.

Many years ago a world famous singer Enola disappeared without a trace leaving her band and the other members ruined. Then the story flits back to the present and the band members decide to reunite and start doing concerts but when accidents start happening they all wonder if Enola presence is upon them telling them it is a bad idea to do this alone without her. A story that flits from past to present but it is needed as we get to see what happened back then for Enola to flee, a good mix of characters and a suspenseful and mysterious read. One I could not put down.

My Thoughts:

As soon as I saw this book, I knew it was the one for me. I loved the cover and the plot really interested me. Miranda needs a change in her life but she does not know what that is. Nothing is satisfying her right now but when she is involved in an accident she sees her life flash before her and starts to get recurring dreams about this man. So she goes on a journey to find this man, the one she thinks is the love of her life. But will she finally get her happily ever after what she has been craving for, for so long. I loved this book from start to finish, it was a light and easy read and make me laugh through out. A really good storyline that is brimming full of relatable characters. It was a feel good read and I now need to read more of Clare’s books.

My Thoughts:

This is my first book by Emma and had no idea what to expect. I liked the sound of the plot so I was hoping I was going to enjoy it and I did. It is a story about Willow who has the perfect life, everything is going well for her and she is really happy until it’s not. When things come crashing down on poor Willow I really felt sorry for her, I think people reading this book may be able to relate one way or another. Willow does not know where to turn to or what to do until a very unlikely companion moves into her life and she knows with this companion she will be able to get through it. She finds a way to reconnect with herself after such a long time. It was a incredibly moving story that stole my heart. I felt drawn into the story and wanted to help Willow see how amazing she really is. I cannot wait to read more of Emma’s books now. This was brilliant.

My Thoughts:

I love a book that has the words cosy and Croissant in the title. You know it is going to be good. When Betty and her pony Pumpkin turn up at Boathouse cottage, they are both looking for some r & r. But someone else has other plans, it is a blast from the past for Betty a man she has not seen for a while. she does not know how she will cope. Lots of things going on in this delightful tale. Great characters and lots of yummy sounding pastries, which made my mouth water. I liked how the story was an easy read and I liked seeing what the outcome would be between Betty and Miles. There are some parts that made me laugh, and I love the addition of Pumpkin the pony which really made me smile. A lovely read.

My Thoughts:

I was not sure what to expect from this book as it has trigger warnings with it. With being familiar around hospital settings, I wondered it I should but I choose to at least give it a go. Jessica does not realise how much her life will change when she goes for her annual check up at the doctors. Dr West cannot believe Jessica is standing before him. You can feel the attraction between the both of them especially when Dr West starts doing his examination. Now I did find this bit a little cringe but it works for how the story develops I think. Things develop between the two of them and things get deep (excuse the pun) when Jessica moves in with him. She starts to find out more about him than she could ever imagine. But is this what she wants for the rest of her life? I feel as though this book was way more than just sex, it was about how obsession and desire can obscure what is really going on in someone’s head. I thought it was a good and powerful read.

My Thoughts:

This is book four of five in The Little Cornish Cove Series but can be read as a standalone which I have done. This is the story about Kate who decides that her life is going nowhere so moves to the stunning Cornwall with her daughter. But Cornwall has a steady and slow pace of life and it is a lot different to what Kate is use to, can she really make a fresh start of it. Whilst in Cornwall Kate meets Rick and little does Kate know but he is going through similar things she has been through, can they both help each other heal? It was a slow but easy read, I loved the descriptions of Cornwall it is such a beautiful setting for a book. I enjoyed the way Cass writes, all the details too especially with the characters. A perfect little read.

My Thoughts:

After reading Jo’s previous books I could not wait to start reading the next book. Here we see DCS Kat Frank and AIDE Lock investigating a new case. A body without some of it’s body parts has been found and they need to find out what happened but when another body is found the team need to work quickly to solve this case. A figure from DCS Kat Frank’s past comes back to haunt her is she leaving a little too late. It is a race against time to catch the killer before more bodies start to pile up. It had everything I like in a thriller, gripping, tense and full of intrigue. I was hooked from the first page, it was so well written and would make a great TV series. I had no clue what was going to happen and the ending was absolutely brilliant. I had my heart in my mouth.

After an amazing year looking after Hollyhock Farm, on the beautiful island of Jersey, pregnant Lettie needs to step back from farming. The problem is, with her family overseas, there’s no one to take over.

My Thoughts:

This is book three of The Hollyhock Farm Series and the first book I have read in this series, I would say it can be a standalone as I did not feel as though I missed too much. Though I loved this one and will be going back to read the previous two books. Lettie owns Hollyhock farm and it is all good but she needs to step back for a but as she is going to be a mum soon. But then she finds two people to help her out at the farm but they don’t get off on the right foot with each other. Will they be able to work out their differences as they both know how much the farm means to Lettie and would hate to let her down. I enjoyed reading about the farm aspects of it and the animals, I liked all the characters and the story felt warm and uplifting to me, I feel as though I want to go and help Lettie out and work on her farm for her too. This is my first book by Georgina and I look forward to reading more by her. It was a comfort read for me.
