Great friends. Amazing Apartment. An incredible job. Paige has ticked off every box on perfect New York life checklist. Until disaster strikes and instead of shimming further up the career ladder, Paige is packing up her desk.

Her brother’s best friend Jake might be the only person who can help her put her life back together. He also happens to be the boy she spent her teen years pining after, and Paige is determined not repeat her past mistakes. But the more time she spends with Jake, the more Paige realises the one thing that was missing from her world all along: The perfect New York love story…

My Thoughts:

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I love books by Sarah Morgan they always seem to bring a smile to my face. I loved all the characters in this book, I liked Paige as she had a fall but managed to pick herself up again and I think that was the right thing for her to do. She has some brilliant friends who remind me of my friends as in would do whatever they could for you. I also really liked Jake, I mean who wouldn’t, lucky Paige is what I say. Even though I could predict the ending, I still thoroughly enjoyed this book. It may make you a little hot under the collar so be careful where you are reading it. I loved it and look forward to Sarah’s next book.

The Little Shop of Happy Ever After By Jenny Colgan

The Little Shop of Happy Ever After By Jenny Colgan

Given a back-room computer job when the beloved Birmingham library she works in turns into a downsized retail complex, Nina misses her old role terribly – dealing with people, greeting her regulars, making sure everyone gets the right books for their needs.

Then a new business nobody else wants catches her eye: owning a tiny little bookshop bus up in the Scottish highlands. No computers. Shortages. Out all hours in the freezing cold; driving with a tiny stock of books… not to mention how the little community is going to take to her, particularly when she stalls the bus on a level crossing…

My Thoughts:

I bought this book as I am a big fan of Jenny Colgan and I also wanted to add it to my collection. I did find it hard to get into the story but once I did I loved it. The way Jenny writes is brilliant, she adds so much description and depth that you almost feel as though you are there amongst these fantastic characters. I loved Nina the main character, she seems to be able to pick a book for someone and know that they will like it. Lovely little story, I look forward to her next book.
